Album

Forever is the third studio album by English girl group the Spice Girls. It was released on 1 November 2000 by Virgin Records. It's their only album without Geri Halliwell, who later rejoined the group for their Greatest Hits album in 2007. Despite failing to match the commercial success of the group's two previous albums, Forever peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry BPI. Worldwide, the album has sold over four million copies. Forever - Spice Girls. The Spice Girls released their third album, Forever, on November 6, 2000. This is the group's only album without Geri Halliwell Ginger Spice. The the departure of Geri, many of the girls' plans were put on hold as well as some being scrapped. They continued work with their current team of song writers and producers until the work could be finalised. Following these events, R&B songwriters and producers were put into place and the album took a R&B route. Victoria Beckham. Melanie Brown. Emma Bunton. Melanie Chisholm. Susan Drake - background vocals. Eliot Kennedy - background vocals. The Spice Girls waited three years to deliver their third album, Forever. While they were away, a number of things changed - things have that tendency - but the pop scene didn't shift so drastically that it was chilly to a Spice comeback. Many pundits argued, fairly accurately, that they were the trailblazers for the resurgence of frothy, unabashed teen pop in the last two years of the 20th century. But, just like there was a decade separating the ages of the Spices. The Spice Girls had materialized suddenly, seemingly fully formed, with their debut single Wannabe in June of 1996. It remains the biggest-selling single ever released by an all-female group in the UK. Complete with a one-take video in which they raised hell in a fancy London hotel, the song was bratty, with a ridiculous strutting drum track and a made-up refrain of zig-ah-zig ahh. It caught like wildfire. A succession of No. 1s followed, quickly leading to the September release of the debut album Spice, which sold two million copies in its first two weeks, and went on to go multi-platinum. As Spice Girls final album, it found them moving into new territory even as they drifted apart. Holler is a choppy pop romp that sounded great on radio and gave Spice Girls their final UK No. 1 to date though the US ignored the track completely. The Darkchild influence dominates that track and five others here, but its actually the two Jam and Lewis cuts If You Wanna Have Some Fun and atmospheric slowie Oxygen that have dated better. It is their only album without Geri Halliwell, who later rejoined the group for their Greatest Hits album in 2007. Despite not selling as well as their previous two albums, it has sold 5 million copies worldwide, peaking at number two in the United Kingdom and later certified Platinum there for selling over 300,000 copies. A double-A side single was released of Holler, Let. Their third album, Forever, will probably provoke a reaction somewhere in the middle - with one exception, its just OK. Produced mostly by New Jersey street-soul king Rodney Jerkins, Forever manages a silky, spiky danceability on tracks like Holler and Tell Me Why. Yet Jerkins proceeds as though Spice Girls are sonic presences on par with Whitney Houston or Mya, rather than brilliant examples of everyday people OK, everyday models experiencing pop celebrity. This confuses the results. Toward the end of the album, however, Minneapolis geniuses Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis stroll up and prod. Spice Girls. Forever, 2000. Holler, 04:15. Tell Me Why, 04:14.
