Tip of the Iceberg is the second EP by American rock band New Found Glory, released on April 29, 2008 through independent label Bridge Nine Records. The release includes three original tracks and three covers of classic melodic hardcore bands Gorilla Biscuits, Shelter and Lifetime. The music video for Dig My Own Grave premiered on May 19, 2008 on an AOL channel. All lyrics and music written and composed by New Found Glory except where noted. New Found Glory's album-and-a-half Tip of the IcebergTakin' It Ova consists of an EP packaged along with a full-length album. It comes across as a bit of an odd combination at first - why not a double disc, or separate releases - but the reasoning could have been to play up the set's comic-book references. While the former features the hardcore-tinged punk-pop that is familiar to fans of the group, the album is where things get interesting. In a departure from their usual lighthearted sound, New Found Glory launch into a relentless assault on Takin' It Ova, pounding and howling with an aggressive hardcore punk sound that is so different as to be downright stunning. When you are the furthest from me only photo keeps me company and all I have's a shred of hope and thoughts till I see you again All this time I'm waiting Wondering When will I see you again. This is just the tip of the iceberg No bone in my body tells me I deserve her. Categories: New Found Glory. Community content is available under CC-BY-SA unless otherwise noted. Tip Of The Iceberg. The bands most recent full-length at the time, 2006s Coming Home, was a relatively drastic departure from their pop-punk beginnings, focusing more on rock ballads and piano pop than NFGs patented breakdowns and sing-alongs. While some of the bands best work comes from that album, fans were slow to embrace it, and inner turmoil at Geffen Records left the band without proper label support.
