Dark underwater landscapes of Distal Sonority are really somnific but you don't want to sleep with them, the music always changes and makes you want to listen to it. Capacious has a bit different approach but follows the mood. In my list of the best conceptual albums of all time and space. Listen free to M. Given that Harris and Laswell had worked together on various projects before, most notably the thrashfree jazz-inspired Painkiller, a collaborative album was likely to turn up at some time. As a result, Somnific Flux really isn't a surprise at all, even less so in terms of sound - it's neither Harris' more beat-oriented work in Scorn nor his chilled ambient doom in Lull, though it tends much more toward the latter. Harris, Bill Laswell. Mick Harris. feat: M. Distal Sonority - M. HarrisBill Laswell. Capacious - M. This album remembers me the later sound of PainKiller before Mick Harris left the band but here is not sax, bass guitar riffs either drums, it is more like Lull or another isolationism sound. here Laswell and Harris offers us a travel between desolated landscapes, heavy drones a mix between not happy dreams and nightmares. If you like Lull is good but isn't essential, basically is for a heavy fan of Mick Harris and Laswell as well to know that these guys can't move between opposed music genres and make you blow your head and the other make your dreams turns into nightmares.
